Peace to you through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Over the past year, I have experienced the loss of many loved ones—so many that listing their names would take considerable time. While it is natural to mourn those who have passed, there is comfort in knowing they are whole, regardless of the circumstances of their lives. Recently, my longtime friend and mentor, Dianne Colman, passed away. She played a pivotal role in leading efforts to end euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide, a cause we continue to advocate for today. As I reflect on all those who have passed this year, including my step-aunt, I find myself especially missing Dianne. It is important that we honor the legacy of those who dedicated themselves to these causes. Just as the teachings of Jesus have shaped the world, forgetting the lessons of those who came before us would be a disservice.
