All Saints Sunday

Peace to you through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Over the past year, I have experienced the loss of many loved ones—so many that listing their names would take considerable time. While it is natural to mourn those who have passed, there is comfort in knowing they are whole, regardless of the circumstances of their lives.

Recently, my longtime friend and mentor, Dianne Colman, passed away. She played a pivotal role in leading efforts to end euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide, a cause we continue to advocate for today. As I reflect on all those who have passed this year, including my step-aunt, I find myself especially missing Dianne.

It is important that we honor the legacy of those who dedicated themselves to these causes. Just as the teachings of Jesus have shaped the world, forgetting the lessons of those who came before us would be a disservice. I am concerned that some continue to use scripture to divide rather than to unite, which undermines the family and is contrary to the values we, as Christians, strive to uphold.

Let us commit ourselves to promoting true Christian values—love, justice, and humanity—in all that we do.  Let us have the knowledge to know the Truth and fall victim to what these fake believers try to spin.  For if we fall then the destruction of the earthly church will be immanent.

In times of grief, it is essential to draw strength from our faith and the examples set by those who walked before us. Their courage and unwavering commitment serve as reminders to persevere in our efforts, even when faced with challenges. Let us continue to seek unity, compassion, and understanding, using scripture as a foundation to bring people together and support one another through life's trials.  Let us be reminded that bigotry and discrimination are the devil’s doing and the only way out is through Jesus.

As we move forward, may we hold fast to the teachings of Christ and the legacies of those who have inspired us. Let us honor their memory not only with our words but with our actions, standing firm in our faith and extending grace to all. In doing so, we become living testaments to the transformative power of love and faith, ensuring that hope and unity continue to flourish within our communities and beyond.
